The fair was set to be held on 9-12 May. The date was on the discussion table for a long time due to general elections, expected to be held on May 14th. The decision was taken on the last days of January.

Turkish Defence Ministry and the Turkish Armed Forces Foundation have rescheduled the International Defence Industry Fair, IDEF, to 25-28 July 2023.
