Under this contract, Northrop Grumman will provide the new capabilities' design, development, verification, deployment, and maintenance support. The company said in a release that the GWS is part of Northrop Grumman's land and sea missile defence system activated by advanced missile warning and space tracking satellites. The GWS program builds on decades of proven innovation, experience and end-to-end missile defence capabilities.
