The Saudi Space Commission (SSC) established the Kingdom's first astronaut program to prepare Saudis for long- and short-term explorations in space. According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the program will allow Saudi astronauts to conduct scientific experiments and research for the benefit of humanity in priority areas such as health, sustainability, and space technology.


The Saudi Astronaut Program, a component of the Kingdom's ambitious Vision 2030, will send a team to space, and one of the astronauts will be a Saudi woman.
The Kingdom intends to launch its National Space Strategy in the coming months, revealing space programs and initiatives aimed at serving humanity from space.
