President of Defence Industry Agency ( SSB) Professor İsmail Demir stated on social media accounts that the UAV serves for communication purposes. Demir added that the technology was used in a natural disaster zone for the first time. The UAV provides visual information about relief works and mobile phone communication for civilian purposes. Aksungur has previously flown at the Adana region to foresee wildfires. It had reached an endurance of 60 hours.
