According to ASELSAN’s statement at Demirören News Agency, the GÖKSUR Close Air Defence Missile System will be exhibited at IDEF 2023. ASELSAN GÖKSUR will perform air and missile defence missions against threats such as anti-ship missiles, armed/unmanned aerial vehicles, cruise missiles, warplanes and helicopters.
ASELSAN had recently announced that it would introduce SAM Gökdemir with a long-range Gökdoğan missile at IDEF. The second statement came about the use of the Bozdoğan missile. The airborne version of Bozdoğan, one of the missiles developed by TÜBİTAK-SAGE, serves as a short-range air-to-air missile.
