Bangladesh Army Tests New VT5 Tanks
Bangladesh Army conducted a live-fire test with newly acquired VT5 tanks. According to local media, the event took place at Chittagong Firing Range in the country. VT5 is also known as Type 15 or ZTQ-15. The lightweight tank is designed and manufactured by the NORINCO contractor.Bangladesh is modernising its armed forces in the line of long-term plans called Forces Goal 2030. The country aims for wide expansion and the modernisation of its military infrastructure. The government also strengthened its artillery capability by acquiring TRG-230 laser-guided long-range artillery rockets from Turkiye and Nora B-52 self-propelled howitzers from Serbia.
