Baykar inks Akıncı Engine agreement
The Ukrainian company will provide an MS500 Turboprop engine to Baykar’s Unmanned aerial vehicle. The Ukrainian company has versions of the engine but the specific type is not disclosed. The CEO of Baykar Haluk Bayraktar signed the agreement.According to the Motor Sich internet page, the MS-500V-S family engines are designed to power multipurpose aircraft and allow achieving high economic performance during commercial service. Two engine designs were elaborated (with front or rare shaft output) in order to ensure optimal engine configuration for different airplane types.
