According to Baykar’s statement, the company has reached a significant milestone by exporting TB2 UAVs globally. The 500th Bayraktar TB2 with tail number T500 came out of the production line. A ceremony was organised at the Özdemir Bayraktar National Technology Centre to commemorate the manufacturing.
There are 580 Bayraktar TB2 UAVs produced so far. Eighty of them are unarmed and serve in ISR missions. The vast majority of UAVs fly armed.
Baykar Chairman of the Board and Technology Leader Selçuk Bayraktar spoke at the ceremony and complimented the Baykar team on the development and production of Bayraktar TB2.
Bayraktar TB2 Armed UAV and Bayraktar AKINCI UCAV, the members of the unmanned systems family developed by Baykar, and Bayraktar TB3 UCAV and Bayraktar KIZILELMA Unmanned Combat Aircraft, which are under development, were exhibited together at the ceremony. Baykar team took a souvenir photo with Bayraktar TB2 Armed UAV with tail number T500. Bayraktar TB2 Armed UAVs broke the endurance and altitude records in the tactical class by staying in the air for 27 hours and 3 minutes and reaching an altitude of 27 030 ft in the past. The UAV’s software, design and all critical components, which have accomplished more than 600,000 hours of successful flight so far, are developed entirely by Baykar.
