Bayraktar TB3 previously completed the System Performance and Qualification test and flew under 130 km/h winds as part of the third flight test.
Touch-and-go manoeuvres conducted in the test can be taken as exercises for landing on TCG ANADOLU LHD. Higher angles of attack can be observed during the touch-down phases of the touch-and-go manoeuvres of the test. The trials of Bayraktar TB3 on TCG ANADOLU LHD are planned to begin in 2024.
Landing with higher angles of attack is vital because there is a slight effect of slowing the aircraft down and emphasising the lift to save the aircraft from stalling. Being able to land on the short runway of an LHD is highly demanding when it comes to approaching as slowly and braking as quickly as possible.
