Brazil to Acquire 12 UH-60M Black Hawk

Brazil wants to acquire 12 UH-60M Black Hawk Helicopters for an estimated cost of up to $950 million. The State Department has approved a possible foreign military sale (FMS) to Brazil of UH-60M Black Hawk Helicopters and related elements of logistics and program support for an estimated cost up to $950 million. This includes the initial acquisition of $450 million in Major Defense Equipment and up to $500 million in other equipment and services. The Defence Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) delivered the required certification, notifying Congress of this possible sale today. Brazil has requested 12 UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters and 34 T700-GE-701D engines (24 installed, ten spares). The estimated total cost is up to $950 million. The principal contractor will be Lockheed Martin, Sikorsky.

FNSS
