The new systems provide increased endurance and the most up-to-date sensors and payloads, allowing for improved data quality and mission efficiency. The British Defence Ministry currently owns a mix of REMUS 100s and REMUS 600s that have been used for mine countermeasure operations over the last 20 years. The first two REMUS 100s purchased by the Ministry of Defence in 2002 are still operational today. HII has sold over 600 UUVs to 30 countries worldwide, including 14 NATO member countries such as the United Kingdom.
