Czech Air Force retires Mi-35s and hands over to Ukraine

The Czech Air Force retired its Mi-35 attack/assault helicopter fleet. The last two Mi-35s, numbers 3365 and 3366, were delivered to Ukraine on March 21. The Czech Air Force modernises its helicopter fleet with AH-1Z Viper. It retires the legendary ones and sends them to Ukraine. In total, the Czech Republic delivered eight Mi-24V/35 Hind-Es to Ukraine. Meanwhile, the last remaining Hind-E, number 3369, will be placed in a museum. These two helicopters are delivered to Ukraine via Poland. The Mi-24V is an upgraded variant with updated avionics to improve night operations, new communications equipment. The helicopter has shorter, lighter wings and an updated weapons system to include support for the 9M120 Ataka, Shturm and 9K38 Igla ATGMs as well as a 23 mm main cannon.
