HIT unveiled an indigenously manufactured HAIDER tank in cooperation with Chinese NORINCO China and Pakistan.According to the Global Defense Indisight social media account, Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), was the guest at the HAIDER tank rollout event in Heavy Industries Taxila.
During the ceremony, HIT showcased its new Tank HAIDER, which was indigenously manufactured in collaboration with NORINCO China and different Pakistani companies.
The COAS was briefed on the HAIDER tank’s technical capabilities and efforts towards indigenisation in munitions and armaments.
COAS also visited other production sites inside the Heavy Industrial Complex and praised the officers and employees for their efforts in achieving another technological milestone.
