Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) unveiled its newest surface-to-surface missile, Blue Spear, at the Singapore Airshow. The new missile was developed in collaboration with Singapore's prominent defence industry, ST Engineering, marketed by the Proteus Advanced Systems consortium.
The missile is based on the general design and philosophy of the tested Gabriel family of Israeli missiles. The guided-missile has a range of 290 km, which it can cover at high subsonic speeds.
The missile is equipped with a search radar and an advanced control system that operates both day and night.
