India Completed Nuclear Triad

According to the Indian Ministry of Defence, the Indian indigenous nuclear submarine, INS Arihant (SSBN 80), has passed a strategic milestone in the last trials. The submarine has launched a ballistic missile within the scope of the test activity. Thus, India became the sixth country, alongside China, France, Russia, the United Kingdom and the United States of America, that can launch a nuclear-capable ballistic missile from a nuclear-powered submarine. Test conducted in Bengal Bay.

India is pushing toward its military infrastructure with different projects, such as the “Made in India” policy and nuclear studies. The country, one of the biggest arms importers in the world, is also trying to expand domestic production. The biggest reason for this attempt is the tension with China and the power race in the Indian Ocean.
