İŞBİR to Provide Generators for OFPV

ASFAT will receive the Diesel Generator Sets of two Off-Shore Patrol Vessels (OFPV) from İŞBİR ELEKTRİK. ASFAT, a subsidiary of the Turkish Defence Ministry, will build two ships for the Turkish Naval Forces Command. ASFAT General Manager Esad Akgün and İşbir General Manager Burhan Özgür signed the agreement at Saha Expo.

The ship is based on a corvette design created as part of the MİLGEM project. Ten Hisar Class ships will be built for the naval force, according to plans.The vessels can be used in intelligence surveillance and reconnaissance, fight against piracy, protect marine resources, establish maritime security, humanitarian aid in natural disasters, and search and rescue missions. The first patrol ship is planned to be delivered to the Navy in May 2023.İŞBİR to Provide Generators for OFPV
