Katmerciler will launch two new armoured vehicles at the IDEF21. The 4x4 Counter Terror Assault Vehicle EREN and the 4x4 Tactical Wheeled Armoured Vehicle HIZIR II. The EREN vehicle is named after Eren Bülbül, a 15-year-old terror victim.
The company will also exhibit the Next Generation Criminal Investigation Vehicle KIRAÇ and the Medium Class Level 2 Unmanned Ground Vehicle Remote Controlled Armed Platform UKAP. The company will take part in the fair with a total of four vehicles.
Katmerciler's EREN 4x4 Counter Terror Assault Vehicle is named after 15-year-old Eren Bülbül, the victim of the terrorist organization PKK on 11 August 2017 in Trabzon Maçka. EREN Vehicle was developed for urban operations to fight against terrorism. EREN was designed as a smaller scale vehicle of Katmerciler's armoured combat vehicle HIZIR.
EREN has a low silhouette and narrow and short body structure, allowing for effective operation in tighter spaces such as urban areas. The vehicle has ballistic protection, which protects mines and IEDs. The vehicle has been developed to adapt to different climatic conditions.
The second vehicle is HIZIR II which was developed as an upgraded version of HIZIR.
In addition, Katmerciler will introduce the 4x4 New Generation Criminal Investigation Vehicle KIRAÇ, which is actively used by the General Directorate of Security and Remote Controlled Unmanned Ground Vehicle UKAP.
