KNDS Reactivates PzH-2000 Production Line

German-French Defence Company KNDS reactivates PzH-2000 self-propelled howitzer production line to upgrade guns. The production ceased in 2002 According to Defence24, KNDS reactivated the production line of the PzH-2000 self-propelled guns. This was deemed necessary due to Germany and the Netherlands' order for 22 guns to replace those sent to Ukraine. Delivery of the first gun is expected in mid-2025. It should be noted that the production line of the PzH-2000 ceased in 2002. The program's main objective is to replace subsystems that have become technologically obsolete and are no longer supported. KNDS's proposed upgrades, including a fully automatic ammunition management system, a remote-controlled station on the roof, and a new air conditioning cooling system, are set to significantly enhance the PzH-2000's capabilities, making it a force on the battlefield.
