Turkish Defence Ministry announced from its Twitter account recent development about micro smart munition MAM-L. The ministry stated that MAM-L is used at the Blue Homeland 2021 Military Exercise. Turkish navy flew the TB2 UAV, and Roketsan’s production Mam-L hit its surface target in the East Mediterranean Sea. The ministry stated that the MAM-L did its longest-range shot.
MAM-Luses Semi-Active Laser Seeker as a guidance system. Its range is usually eight km. According to the Roketsan brochure, the ammunition may reach 14 km with Inertial Navigation System/Global Positioning System Option)
Smart Micro Munition MAM-L has been developed for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV), light attack aircraft and air-ground missions for low payload capacity air platforms. MAM-L can engage both stationary and moving targets with high precision.
