MBDA Reveals LCM for Deep Precision Strike Capability

MBDA introduced at Eurosatory 2024 the Land Cruise Missile (LCM) system, which provides a new ground-launched Deep Precision Strike capability on the battlefield. The LCM builds on MBDA’s extensive experience in Deep Precision Strike and is based on the proven “Missile De Croisière Naval” (MdCN) used by the French Navy on frigates and attack submarines. The LCM system is a one-of-a-kind ground-launched deep-strike cruise missile system developed, manufactured, and assembled in Europe.

Customers who use MdCN missiles and LCM systems will join a select group of countries with long-range deep precision attack capabilities. The LCM system will have the same capabilities as the NCM, including metric precision at extremely long range, great survivability while penetrating enemy-integrated air defence systems due to reduced radar cross-section and terrain-following ability, and high lethality against targets. It will also offer very accurate Synchronised Time-On-Target (STOT) capability, as proven by the French Navy’s simultaneous MdCN attack on a ship and a submerged submarine in April 2024, with DGA support.
