New Zealand plans to replace two Anzac-class MEKO 200 frigates (HMNZS Te Kaha and HMNZS Te Mana) customized to New Zealand, which entered service in the late 1990s and have recently been modernized. The RfI is also concerned with replacing four patrol boats in service since 2009-2010 and two auxiliary vessels.
It is known that Babcock promotes Arrowhead frigates to New Zealand.
