Otokar has released its financial results for the first nine months of the year


Serdar Otokar has released its financial results for the first nine months of the fiscal year. In the first nine months of the year, the firm boosted its turnover by 53 per cent over the same time the previous year. Exports increased by 41 per cent, and the company’s net profit for the first nine months was 516.4 million TL.

Görgüç, General Manager of Otokar, revealed that they finished the supply of 364 buses for the municipality of İzmir in seven months: “We finished delivery of our CNG buses for Ukraine; we maintained manufacturing and deliveries of the armoured vehicle orders we got in the defence business.” While we continue to market our electric bus in Europe, our research and development operations, such as autonomous buses and remote-controlled military vehicles, are advancing quickly. In the coming period, we will focus on the tenders we won in Ankara, Istanbul, Slovakia and Jordan and the orders we received from different geographies, and we will continue our growth.”

Görgüç: We Have Completed Our Deliveries Successfully

Otokar General Manager Serdar Görgüç stated that Otokar achieved successful results in the first nine months of the year despite the ongoing pandemic conditions; “While we continue to work for new projects in export markets, we have shown great success in tenders in the domestic market. Within seven months of receiving the order, we supplied 364 buses for Izmir public transit. Ukraine received natural gas buses from us. We delivered our 4x4 and 8x8 armoured cars satisfactorily.”

Görgüç said that they are focusing on the studies that will take Otokar to a global level in the field of technology and said, “We continue to work on the development of unmanned and remote-controlled land systems in the field of the defence industry.” At the DSEI Expo in September, the business inked an MOU with Milrem Robotics of Estonia.
