The weight, dimensions and handling of the SSW-40 are similar to that of an assault rifle. It incorporates a self-adjusting recoil reduction system and can fire low or medium-velocity grenades. It is designed for use at the Infantry Squad and Special Forces level and achieves a maximum effective range of 900 meters with medium-velocity grenades. The SSW-40 can launch bombs of different roles (fragmentation, anti-personnel, anti-tank, anti-fortification, aerial fire, training, illumination, etc.). The weapon can be equipped with aiming systems and a fire control system for greater accuracy.
