Rheinmetall Presents Unmanned turret version of Kf-51

Rheinmetall presented a version of the Panther Kf-51 battle tank with an unmanned tower at Eurosatory 2024. This unmanned turret version of the Panther Kf-51 was developed in case the Franco-German Main Ground Combat System (MGCS) new tank program is cancelled or delayed beyond 2035.

The Panther Kf-51 CUT has a combat weight of around 50 tons and requires a crew of three in the vehicle rather than in the turret for greater protection against turret attacks. The turret can incorporate a 120mm or 130mm gun with an automatic loading system of 25 rounds. A 12.7mm machine gun accompanies the main gun. The turret incorporates a multitude of sensors for full tactical situational awareness, and the MUSS 2.0 and Iron Fist protection systems are in place in the early stages of development and will be ready in the early 2030s.
