The company introduced its latest ship solution, Saar S-80, during the Euronaval 2022 event. The platform is based on the company’s S-72 vessel. The design of the several parts on the ship is evolved and upgraded. The system offers better versatility and higher payload capability than its predecessor. Weapon suite capacity was upgraded as well as the electronic warfare system of the class. The new equipment also offers offensive capability.The S-80 is the export version of the Israeli Navy"s future Reshef-class corvette.
The 80 metres long ship is powered by four diesel coupled to two shafts with pitch-controllable propellers. Depending on the user’s request, the vessel can be adjusted for corvette or offshore patrol vessel requirements. S-80 allows a longer range than S-72; thus, this feature enhances patrol time. The structure and the hull of the new platform also feature stealth characteristics.
