SDT Defence and Space Technologies purchased Cey Defence, which operates in the simulation field, for 4 million TL. SDT made a statement to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) regarding the takeover. Accordingly, the board of directors of SDT decided to purchase the company on June 16. A share takeover agreement was signed with Özcan Ceylan, who owns all the company shares, on June 23.
Cey Defence was founded in Ankara in 2016. The company produced "Atak Helicopter Simulator National Tactical Environment Simulation Graphical User Interface" in 2017. It started a New Generation Joint Wargame Simulation Infrastructure project as the first R&D project in 2017. The firm created the Electro-Optical Modelling project in 2018, within the scope of a naval project. The firm completed the NAUTILUS project the same year. The company started the HLA Integration Software Service project within a maritime project. The same year it began the Dynamic Adaptive Visual Model Definition Language and Tools project. In 2019 the company started the Advanced Run-Time Infrastructure project within the scope of the Technology Acquisition. The company completed DAGMOT Project and created Tactical Environment Simulation Environment for the Engagement Models project. In September 2020, the company completed ATAKSIM MTCS GKA Project.
With the acquisition of CEY Defence, it is anticipated that SDT will develop new solutions in the simulation field. Currently, the ACMI Pod (Air Combat Training Systems) developed by the company is actively used by the Turkish Air Force. On the other hand, SDT also operates in radar and electronic warfare.
