STM Brings Ships and UAVs to Pakistan

STM will participate in IDEAS, held in Karachi, Pakistan, between 15-18 November and present the İstif (I) Class Frigate, the Pakistan Navy Fleet Tanker (PNFT) and the small-sized submarine STM500, designed with national capabilities. STM produces combat-proven tactical mini-UAV systems. The company produced Turkiye’s first portable, rotary-wing attack drone KARGU, autonomous multi-rotor reconnaissance UAS solution TOGAN and the Fixed-Wing Autonomous Tactical Attack UAV system ALPAGU for South Asia.

STM General Manager Özgür Güleryüz said, “As STM, we carry out collaborations, export and business development activities in more than 20 countries with our unique engineering solutions. We have carried out important projects in Pakistan, a friendly and brotherly country. In 2018, we built the Pakistani fleet replenishment tanker PNS MOAWIN, the largest tonnage military shipbuilding project Turkiye has done abroad, designed for the Pakistan Navy in Karachi and delivered it. Again, we continue our activities in the modernization of Agosta 90B Class Submarines owned by Pakistan.

We delivered the first submarine in the project and are continuing the modernisation works of the other two submarines. With this project, we signed STM as the main contractor in a submarine modernisation project in a foreign country for the first time in Turkiye. Thanks to these projects that we have successfully carried out, we are also taking part in four PN Milgem Class Corvettes Projects to be produced by Turkiye with the engineering capability for the supply and integration of the main propulsion system. We want to sign new collaborations and joint works to strengthen the strength of Pakistan’s defence. We are excited to showcase our innovative and national platforms at IDEAS.”
