TAAC Signs Its First Export Contract with UAE’s Edge Group

TAAC Aerospace Technologies (TAAC), which develops landing gear and subsystems for air platforms, signed its first export contract with the United Arab Emirates. TAAC signed a contract with EDGE Group, the largest defence and aerospace company group in the United Arab Emirates. Two companies started to work with the MoU signed at SAHA EXPO in October 2023.

TAAC aims to contribute nationally and increase its global impact by exporting products designed and produced by Turkish engineering companies abroad. TAAC General Manager Enis Ata said, “The start of the project we signed with EDGE Group (ADASI) will also register TAAC’s brand value globally, especially in the Middle East. “We aim to strengthen our position on a global scale by increasing our export share in line with TAAC’s developing capabilities while continuing to be a solution centre for our country’s unique platforms in the coming period.” Drawing attention to Turkiye’s position in developing landing gear, Ata said, “Türkiye is among the few countries that can develop a fifth-generation fighter jet. Our country is one of the rare countries that can develop landing gear for a platform of this calibre and offer this capability to its customers globally. As TAAC, we offer the solutions we develop locally and nationally to the global market. By realizing our first international cooperation, we have taken an important step for both our country and the industry. “On this occasion, we will increase our impact by taking our country further in developing landing gear.”TAAC Aerospace Technologies was established in 2019 in partnership with Altınay Defence Technologies Inc and Turkish Aerospace in the field of landing gear. It develops end-to-end solutions from design to production, qualification to after-sales services. TAAC began engineering efforts in 2019 with the HÜRJET Iron Bird development project and is presently working with domestic and foreign stakeholders on several vital projects, including the National Combat Aircraft KAAN and other platforms.

Edge Group is currently develooping jet engined theJeniah UCAV which performed its maiden flight in 2023.
