UAE and BAYKAR had previously signed a contract to supply Bayraktar TB2 Armed UAV and AKINCI UCAV. Baykar demonstrated its determination to export this new platform TB3 by exhibiting at an international expo explicitly organised for unmanned systems.
The Marine version of TB2, the TB3, has similarities with the TB2. TB3 has the endurance to cover a much larger area and a powerful engine to fly in the strong winds of the open sea. TB3 takes up little space when deployed on the ship with its foldable wings but can take off from a short distance when the wings are unfolded.
