Baykar’s TB2 UAV will be used by the Turkish Coast Guard to monitor maritime transportation and fight illegal immigration, drug smuggling, and marine pollution.
President of Defence Industry Agency (SSB) Professor İsmail Demir stated that six Bayraktar TB2 UAVs with ASELSAN-made six CATS E/O are delivered to the Coast Guard.Turkish Coast Guard has AB 412 EP helicopter and CASA CN-235 aircraft in the inventory. Turkish Coast Guard Command will be one of the first institutions to use UAVs to monitor its maritime.
