Textron will deliver a Beechcraft King Air 360ER plane to Sri Lanka

Textron Aviation of the United States has been awarded an $11 million contract for its new Beechcraft King Air 360ER aircraft. The plane will be delivered to Sri Lanka Air Force under a Foreign Military Sales (FMS) deal. The manufacturing is expected to be completed by September 2025.

According to FMS regulations, the aircraft will be handed over to the US Army first, where the sensors will be installed before delivering it to the Sri Lankan Air Force.The Beechcraft King Air series of planes are among the company"s twin-turboprops produced since 1974 and the longest production runs for any civilian turboprop aircraft. It is widely preferred due to its endurance time and payload capacity. It is widely preferred for surveillance and patrol missions.Textron will deliver a Beechcraft King Air 360ER plane to Sri Lanka
