Turkey and Azerbaijan Armies are on Joint Exercises

Azerbaijan Defence Ministry announced that a joint military exercise is held between Turkey and Azerbaijan. The ministry said, “In accordance with the Agreement on military cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Turkey, the next combat-training tasks were fulfilled during the “Mustafa Kemal Ataturk - 2021” Joint Live-Fire Tactical Exercises held in Baku.

During the exercises, the 1st echelon units reached the attack frontier, made passages in imaginary enemy’s minefields to cross the area disembarked personnel from armoured vehicles, and launched the offensive.”

The ministry has also released video images from the training.

Azerbaijan won the war against Armenia and signed the cease-fire agreement on November 10th, the day the founder of modern Turkey, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk died. Azerbaijan President İlham Aliyev stated that Azerbaijan can not celebrate the victory on the day Atatürk dies and changed the day to November 8th asShusha city freed from Armenia"s occupation.
