According to the statement of the Ministry, the inventory acceptance procedures of AKSUNGUR UAV, the last UAV of the project, tail number 884, of which TUSAŞ has completed production, have been completed. The UAV joined our Naval Forces Command with the tail number TCB-884 at the ceremony held at Dalaman Naval Air Base Command on 15 December 2023.
AKSUNGUR is a Medium Altitude Long Endurance (MALE) class UAV System based on ANKA UAV. It is capable of performing day and night Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) and strike missions with EO/IR, SAR and SIGINT payloads and carries a variety of air-to-ground ammunition. TEI’s PD170 turbocharged diesel engines power twin engine AKSUNGUR. The UAV may carry a 750 kg payload, reach a 40,000 ft operational ceiling and have 50 hours of endurance.
