ULAQ is Very Close to Export

The ULAQ family, a joint product of Ares Shipyard and Meteksan Defence, is counting the days for export. This export package will be realised for an undisclosed foreign customer. In this context, 1-5 anti-surface warfare vessels, 1-5 port security vessels and 1-5 expendable vessels will be exported.
The anti-surface warfare vessel will feature a 12.7 mm remote-controlled weapon system and Roketsan-produced L-Umtas on the Koralp turret supplied by Best Group. The sonar system developed by Meteksan for anti-submarine warfare will be used in this system.
The version developed for port defence will include a 12.7 mm remote-controlled weapon system and electrooptical systems, probably on the Koralp turret.
ULAQ Kama Kamikaze will use a communication satellite system similar to Starlink. MKE Inc. will provide high-explosives. The first live test will be realised with 100 kg of explosives.
If these studies result in exports, the company will make Turkiye's first Armed Unmanned Surface Systems export.
