Sensor and Propulsion System Integration to PN MilGem

İstanbul Shipyard Command continues to refit activities under PN MilGem Project. ASFAT, a Turkish state enterprise for military factories and naval shipyards, announced the completion of Underwater Device Systems and Main Propulsion System component installation. Integration works are finished as well.

PNS Babur (F 280) corvette got her Underwater Device Systems and Main Propulsion Systems. Installation efforts are completed in the dry dock facility of İstanbul Shipyard Command. In this context, ship procurement projects are carried out with China. Islamabad is also increasing its cooperation with Turkey in the maritime field. Pakistan is trying to counterbalance the power equation in the region with increasing asymmetry. In this line, Air-Independent Propulsion submarines will provide critical long-range high-endurance patrol capabilities in blue waters.
