Pentagon’s 2024 Priority; Replacing Ammunition Stocks

U.S. President Joe Biden will present the U.S. defence budget on Thursday. The total amount of budget for next year could exceed $835 billion. This would become one of the enormous peacetime defence budgets. The current budget is $816 million, according to the official P-1 summary document obtained by Bloomberg News. The $170 billion procurement bid exceeds Congress’s budget for this fiscal year by $8 billion. The research and development requests are about $5 billion higher than Congress’s approval.
