The technical manager ofBaykar Savunma Selçuk Bayraktar, said in sum; Embargoes have existed for years since we first started this business. But none of them could stop us. Bayraktar also stated that Canada stopped selling a payload used at UAV. Turkey, however, has combat-proven armed UAV along with four other countries. Canada is not one of them. Canada plans to acquire such a system. Canadian action does not create a problem for us as we already have a Turkish equivalent. All critical technologies for our UAV"s are locally produced. If Turkey does not sell UAV to Canada, this would be a problem. Canada produces no UAV, so what technology have they embargoed?
