Presidency of Defence Industries (SSB) announced that İzmir based BMC delivered VURAN Tactical Wheeled Armoured Vehicles (TTZA) to security forces. SSB did not disclose how many vehicles are delivered.
The vehicles will be used at anti-terrorism and border patrol missions, facility protection, convoy protection.
Vuran is capable of reaching a speed of 110 km per hour. It can run through 800 mm of water, overcome many obstacles with an underbody height of 400 mm, and climb a slope of 60% and progress at a side-slope of 30%.
