Demir: The last batch of VURAL Radar Electronic Warfare Systems has been delivered to the Turkish Armed Forces

President of Defence Industries (SSB) Professor İsmail Demir announced that the last batch of Radar Electronic Warfare systems had been delivered to the Turkish Armed Forces. Demir said, “The last batch of VURAL, one of today’s battlefield’s most modern and effective electronic warfare systems, which we have equipped with national software and hardware, radar electronic attack capabilities. VURAL is at the service of our army with full capacity!”

VURAL Radar Electronic Warfare System consists of Electronic Support (ED) subsystems that carry out the activities of detecting enemy radar and radar-guided target systems and extracting the technical parameters of these systems. It also includes the Electronic Attack (EA) subsystem, which performs electronic attack activities to reduce/destroy the effectiveness of the said target systems in the field.

The EA subsystem is used to detect friendly elements of target systems and prevent or weaken their ability to guide against these friendly elements or provide an advantage to friendly troops in the tactical field by causing false information to be transmitted.
