Eurosatory Accepts Israeli Visitors Conditionally

The Eurosatory Expo witnessed a rather unexpected practice. The COGES Events made a press release about conditional acceptance of Israeli visitors. COGES asked Israeli visitors or those representing an Israeli company to sign a declaration stating that they do not work for an Israeli defence company. Spanish Defence company GDELS’s Pandur 6X6 APC was spotted with Israeli Elbit’s turret installed. COGES made a statement to declare that they follow court orders; they have already appealed to the court.

The press release at the entrance of the Eurosatory reads, “On June 14, 2024, COGES Events was the subject of a court decision prohibiting the participation of employees or representatives of any nationality whatsoever of Israeli Companies in the Eurosatory Exhibition. In addition, all exhibiting companies are prohibited from receiving, selling or promoting Israeli Weapons or facilitating in any way whatsoever the intermediation of Israeli companies with the delegations present at the show. This ruling goes beyond the decision taken two weeks ago by the French government authorities to prohibit, in the current context, the presence of Israeli company stands at Eurosatory. Consequently, COGES Events has decided to appeal this court decision as soon as possible.”
