A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Presidency of Defence Industries (SSB), Petroleum Pipeline Company (BOTAŞ) and HAVELSAN for the use of the National Enterprise Resource Management System KOVAN.
President of Defence Industry Professor İsmail Demir, Deputy Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Dr Alparslan Bayraktar, SSB Vice President and HAVELSAN Chairman of the Board Dr Celal Sami Tüfekci, SSB Vice President Mustafa Şeker, BOTAŞ Chairman and General Manager Burhan Özcan and HAVELSAN General Manager Dr Mehmet Akif Nacar joined the MoU ceremony.
Speaking at the ceremony, SSB President İsmail Demir stated that the Turkish defence industry continues to minimize dependency on other countries in strategic areas and military products. Demir stated that energy, health, agriculture, communication and transportation areas affected the country"s security very closely and emphasized the importance of cooperation between institutions in this sense. He stated that Enterprise Resource Management is not the first in cooperation between Havelsan and BOTAŞ.
