The Latvian Ministry of Defence has ordered the RBS 70 NG ground-based air defence system and the Giraffe 1X radar from Saab. The first deliveries will take place in 2022.
Sweden, the Czech Republic, and Brazil are among the countries that use the RBS 70 NG. The most recent version includes an automatic target tracker and an integrated night sight. Giraffe 1X is a lightweight, high-performance 3D radar under contract with several customers. Giraffe 1X can be used for ground-based air defence, counter-unmanned aerial systems (C-UAS), site protection, and naval applications for all vessels.
