French President Emmanuel Macron, who was interviewed live on two major French television channels, declared his “unconditional” support to the Armenians. “We will continue to provide support on a humanitarian and political level,” he added; “France is today very vigilant about the territorial integrity of Armenia. Russia is complicit with Azerbaijan. France will stand alongside the Armenian people.”
On Wednesday, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said his hope that military tensions with Azerbaijan in Karabakh would be resolved. Pashinyan added, “We hope the military escalation will not continue.” Azerbaijan army’s anti-terrorism activities in the Karabakh region resulted in the disarmament of Armenian armed forces in the region and groups.
