Turkish Air Force attended the first NATO Space Symposium, which was held under the NATO Allied Command Transformation in Toulouse, France.
Turkish Defence Ministry announced on social media that Turkiye attended NATO’s Space Symposium. The subject of the symposium was declared as the fifth operational domain at the NATO London Summit 2019, which had been determined as “Deterrence, Defence and Resilience in and through Space Domain”.
NATO considers space the fifth operational domain, along with air, navy, land, and cyber security. This decision allows NATO to provide collective defence against security threats in space.
