U.S.’s Russia-Sanction-List includes 150 entities, five Turks

The U.S. Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) announced on September 13th that it is imposing nearly 100 sanctions on Russian elites and industries that are trying to undermine the sanctions against Russia.
The press release underlines that Russia relies on third-country entities to bypass the sanctions. OFAC is now targeting two entities based in Türkiye.
According to OFAC, Margiana İnşaat Dış Ticaret Limited Şirketi (Margiana) has made hundreds of shipments to Russia-based entities Limited Liability Company SMT-iLogic (SMT-iLogic) and Saturn EK OOO (Saturn EK). OFAC states that SMT-iLogic is known to be involved in the supply chain for producing Russian military UAVs used in Russia's war against Ukraine. Margiana's shipments to SMT-iLogic and Saturn EK have included High Priority Items of the kind recovered in multiple Russian weapons systems used against Ukraine, including the Kalibr cruise missile, the Kh-101 cruise missile, and the Orlan-10 UAV.
Demirci Bilişim Ticaret Sanayi Limited Şirketi (Demirci), founded in March 2022 and according to OFAC reports, the company has sent sensors and measuring tools into Russia.
In total, beside Margiana İnşaat Dış Ticaret, Demirci Bilişim Ticaret Sanayi, there are Denkar Gemi İnşaat, CTL Limited and the shipyard agency ID Ship Agency and its owner İlker Doğruyol.
Last April, the U.S.  Treasury Department decided to impose sanctions on more than 120 companies and individuals from nearly 20 countries from different regions around the world. Among them, there were four companies established in Turkiye.
