Iran Caught Towing US Unmanned Platform

The US Navy prevented an Iranian ship from capturing an American unmanned maritime vehicle in the Persian Gulf. Around 11 p.m. Monday, US Navy in the region observed an Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy support ship, Shahid Baziar, towing a US-operated unmanned vehicle, also known as a Saildrone Explorer unmanned surface vessel, according to a news release from US Naval Forces Central Command.
