Armoured Vehicles market to reach £24.13 billion by 2030 TurDef

By 2030, the worldwide market for armoured vehicles is expected to be worth £24.13 billion. This is because there is a growing need for solutions that will help people stay alive in difficult operating settings. As threats change, from modern anti-tank guided missiles to swarms of drones, how can leaders in defence and industry make sure armoured platforms are safe and ready for action?

The 10th Annual Future Armoured Vehicles: Survivability Conference will be held in London from November 17 to 19, 2025, by SAE Media Group. More than 150 high-ranking military officers, program managers, engineers, and technical specialists will be at this event to talk about the newest survivability technologies, strategic integration initiatives, and global cooperation that will shape the future of armoured warfare.

This link will take you to further information about the event.

There will be high-level briefings and technical workshops as part of this year's program. One of them is "Ensuring Armoured Vehicle Survivability Suites of the Future are Capable of Meeting Emerging Threats."

Looks at how current armoured vehicle survivability systems work together, how much they cost, and what capabilities they need.

Mr. Tom Newbery is in charge of the Platform Survivability Group at DSTL.

• Putting systems on armoured vehicles to make them safer

Gives a summary of the British Army's armoured vehicle programs, such as Challenger 3, AJAX, and Boxer. Talks on what we've learnt from recent wars and looks at how doctrinal adjustments might help different protection systems.

Lieutenant Colonel Nicholas Foulerton, SO1 Capability Integration, British Army Land Warfare Centre

• A look at Canadian Armoured Vehicles Programs

Lists the current goals of Canada's Armoured Vehicle Program Management, which are to improve the capabilities of the ground forces by updating vehicle systems. Looks at the existing problems, chances, and the best way to move forward strategically.

Colonel Daniel Fontaine is in charge of the Canadian Armed Forces' Armoured Vehicle Program Management (DAVPM).

• How armoured vehicles in the Australian Army may stay alive

Looks at the Australian Army's AFV capabilities, the problems they have with survivability right now, and their plans for the future to make operations more successful.

Lieutenant Colonel Patrick Rooney is in charge of the Australian Army's Armoured Infantry, Land Combat Vehicle Program, and AHQ.
