ASELSAN Mentions 200-Series Variant for KORKUT 35 mm SPAAG TurDef

ASELSAN’s 2025 activity report mentioned two new variants for the KORKUT 35 mm SPAAG, as KORKUT 240/35 and KORKUT 250/35, to be delivered under a contract.

According to the ASELSAN [BIST:ASELS] 2025 activity report, a contract for KORKUT 240/35 and KORKUT 250/35 35 mm SPAAGs has been signed for delivery.

The report did not disclose the details of these new variants, but it is understood from the coding that KORKUT 240/35 is the 8x8 AFV configuration and KORKUT 250/35 is the tracked AFV configuration (Likely on FNSS’s ACV AD platform).

As to what kind of changes this new variant might have, ASELSAN’s outdoor booth from IDEF2025 might provide a hint. A new configuration of KORKUT on OTOKAR’s ARMA II 8x8 AFV was displayed with four KALKAN 50-G AESA radars and KANGAL FPV C-UAS jammers. KALKAN 50-G using S-band can detect micro UAVs and operate in weapon locating mode against RAM threats. The radar is compatible with AKREP 100-G fire control radar used on KORKUT 35 mm SPAAGs, ASELSAN’s C-UAS jammers, and KORKUT C-RAM.

KORKUT 35 mm SPAAG Family

KORKUT 35 mm SPAAG started with KORKUT 150/35, mounted on FNSS ACV AD tracked vehicle, which also serves as the platform for the mobile HİSAR-A 150 short-range air defence system.

In later years, the weapon system was mounted on an OTOKAR ARMA 8x8 AFV chassis from OTOKAR, and the 8x8 configuration has been finalised as KORKUT 140/35 onboard ARMA II as of 2025.

Additionally, the KORKUT 35 mm SPAAG module has been integrated on the UAE’s Wahash 8x8 amphibious AFV as KORKUT 141/35.

Another notable joint work on KORKUT 35 mm SPAAG has been with the Czech firm CSG, covering a truck-based KORKUT using a Tatra Force 6x6 truck as the platform.
