The contract between ASELSAN and NSPA covers the delivery of IFF Mod 5 interrogator systems for MANPADS systems in use by NATO members. The framework contract will be valid for three years.
ASELSAN has developed the IdentIFF Mode5 I-MP interrogator for use on MANPADS launchers, mainly FIM-92 Stinger. The portable IFF Interrogator supports Mod 1, 2, 3/A and the encrypted Mod 5. In terms of durability, the IFF system is rated at MIL STD 810G against shocks/humidity/vibrations and MIL STD 461G against EMI/EMC.
