According to the Brazilian press, the country's Army wants to acquire 78 Polish Borsuk armoured fighting vehicles as part of the "VBC Fuz" program.
The VBC Fuz (Viatura Blindada de Combate de Fuzileiros) program is a strategic initiative by the Brazilian Army to modernize its armoured forces by replacing the ageing fleet of M113 armoured personnel carriers currently in service.
The Borsuk is an amphibious vehicle, and its design is based on the BWP-1, which is the Polish version of the Soviet BMP-1. It incorporates the ZSSW-30 turret with a main armament of a 30mm Mk.44 Bushmaster II cannon and a 7.62mm UKM-2000 coupled machine gun. Also, to the right of the turret, it incorporates a dual Spike-LR/LR2 anti-tank missile launcher. Its weight is 28 tons in the basic (amphibious) version, while a non-amphibious version weighs 35 tons. It can carry a crew of three and six fully equipped soldiers. It incorporates a diesel engine with a maximum power of 720 hp, achieves a maximum speed of 65 kilometres per hour (on the road) or eight kilometres per hour on water and has a typical range of 550 kilometres.

It is known that BAE Systems demonstrated the CV90's capabilities to the Brazilian Army in mid-2023. Potential competitors include the Korean K21 IFV Developed by Hanwha Defence, the German Puma or Lynx KF41, and the Turkish Modular Armoured Tracked Vehicle Tulpar, designed by Otokar. Tulpar is known for its adaptability and competitive cost. For instance, Otokar attended the LAAD expo in April with Tulpar and Cobra II.
